We are celebrating 50 years of THEITS, marking decades of collaboration and innovation in higher education IT. This year’s theme, “Back to the Future: 50 Years of THEITS,” reflects on our shared history while envisioning the future of technology in education. As we stand at the forefront of transformative advancements like AI and other emerging technologies, we explore their profound impact on learning, teaching, and campus operations. We invite you to submit a presentation proposal that aligns with our theme and highlights your expertise, insights, and innovations in shaping the future of technology in higher education.

Presentation Information

The presentations are 45 minutes in length and can be individual presentations, joint presentations, or panel discussions.

Some suggested types of presentation topics include: 

  • Cybersecurity and Privacy in AI Applications for Campuses
  • AI and Accessibility: Ensuring Equity in Higher Education
  • Data-Driven Insights: Using AI to Inform Campus Policies
  • Ethics and Governance: Guiding AI Implementation in Academia
  • Strategic AI Integration in Higher Education: Shaping the Future of Learning
  • The Future of IT Governance in Higher Education
  • Emerging Technologies: Opportunities and Challenges for Campus IT Leaders

 

We welcome presentations from higher education professionals across the state and surrounding areas. However, we only accept presentations from vendors if they partner with a higher education institution they are currently working with or have worked with in the past.
