THEITS attendees are invited to submit nominations for the Distinguished Service Award, which will be presented at the THEITS conference on May 19, 2025, at Montgomery Bell State Park.
Nominations should include the following information:
- Nominee’s Name
- Nominee’s Title
- Institution where they work
- Nominee’s Supervisor Name
- A detailed explanation of why you believe the nominee should receive the Distinguished Service Award. This may be several paragraphs and should include as much information as possible.
In your nomination, please include your name, email, and phone number(s) where you may be reached for any questions or to provide additional information about your nominee.
Nominees should meet the following qualifications:
- Be a current employee of a Tennessee higher ed institution or the TBR with at least 5 years of service in the Tennessee higher ed community.
- Be a regular participant in the annual TN Higher Ed IT Symposium (THEITS).
- They should be planning to attend the 2025 THEITS.
The Distinguished Service Award Committee will evaluate all nominations to determine the recipient of the 2025 award. We’ve had several retirements since the last THEITS meeting so the Committee is composed of the four most recent recipients of the Award.
Nominations will be accepted through Friday, March 17, 2023, and should be submitted by email to Bruce Harrison, Committee chair, at bharris6@utm.edu.
